Herman Dixon is the Ambassador Council Coordinator for ShelterBox USA having responsibility for the Mid-Atlantic Area (most of all Rotary Zone 33). He is a ShelterBox Hall of Fame member and has recently received the United States President’s Volunteer Service Award for his many hours of dedicated service activities and actions to ShelterBox. He is a 48 year Rotarian, a Major Donor, a Paul Allen 10 Star Rotarian, and a Paul Harris Society member. Herman has held virtually every office in the 12 Rotary Clubs he has been associated with during his long tenure.. He is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Summerville. He is the past District 7770 Awards Chair, and an active Zone 33 RLI faculty member for both in-person and virtual courses. Herman is part of the District 7770 Training Committee, District 7770 RYLA Chair for 2023-2024 and Area 6 AG for 2023-2024. He is retired but still keeps active doing business and personal advising as well as speaking to community and professional groups on a wide variety of topics. Herman is also a published author and is releasing 3 new books. He and his wife Connie, a Paul Harris Fellow, reside in Summerville, SC.
